The Hagy Center follows a Texas School Ready curriculum, and children learn at a fast pace to surpass the expectations of Kindergarten when they leave. We have had some wonderful teachers and some who aren't so great in our two and a half years. Unfortunately, the leadership staff at Hagy seems ill-equipped to handle concerns and never make it a point to communicate with parents. We've seen several amazing teachers leave as a result of this leadership. When problems arise, the director can be very hard to reach. Additionally, there are a lot of closures which aren't always communicated with adequate notice, leaving parents in the lurch. This includes Spring Break, teacher days, two and a half weeks at Christmas and "half-day" Fridays in the Summer. It's one of the more expensive facilities in town but has some great perks: snacks and lunches included, weekly trips to the Discovery Center and a structured curriculum. No afterschool program, and no transportation, so care ends at Kindergarten here.
