My Child is 15 months and this was his first time in daycare. He’s also my first child. We were very apprehensive about putting him into daycare because I was working from home and I could just keep him myself. We were encouraged by friends and family to put him in daycare to build his social skills. The first two weeks my child was happy to go to this daycare, usually first timers cry and don’t want to go to daycare but my child was happy to go. About the third week he’s crying every single day we drop him off at daycare. My child can not speak so we over looked the nonverbal warnings from him because we was told by the daycare staff that the reason he’s crying every morning when we drop him off is because they are making him walk on his own and he doesn’t like to walk. I bought the excuse because he’s not walking and when we tried to work with him at home he cries too. So This week Tuesday we noticed his finger is bruised and swollen. No one told us anything and when we brought it to their attention we were told that they didn’t know what happened maybe another child stepped on his finger. Mind you we are picking my child up with a snotty nose almost everyday and noticing that his butt is not being properly cleaned everyday because some days we noticed bits of feces are still in his diaper. We are already contemplating on taking him out of the daycare. So here we are today, I go to pick my child up and he has a bust lip!!!!! They told me and my husband that he was crawling too fast on the floor tripped over himself and bust his lip!!! First of all how is that possible? Second why wasn’t I called immediately when it happened? Why would they wait until I get there to tell me about it, try to fast talk me and basically pushed me out the door. I was hurt. How can this be allowed to happen and to add insult to injury the incident happened at 3am and I was told at 3:20 when I came to pick my child up, she also tells me that my child popped up. So you don’t have the common decency to change him before I left? Please don’t put your children in this daycare they are irresponsible and negligent with the children. They seem all nice and loving in your face but God only knows what those children really go through when the parents leave. No cameras in the daycare to really see what’s going on. They are pretty cheap and close to our home that’s why we choose them but sometimes you get exactly what you pay for.
