Description: Located just east of I-235 and W. Central, we acquired and opened this second Adventure Planet location in March 2010. Since acquiring the building, we have invested over $100,000 in remodeling and building improvements, equipment and supplies. If you've driven by, you may have noticed we are currently renovating the building exterior. The new exterior will not only change the 20 year old castle facade but will improve roof drainage and stability. The new look should be completed Fall 2011. As with our West 13th Street location, our West Central location not only provides a high quality, safe and clean location but high quality and friendly staff, curriculum and management. Please call to schedule a tour today and come grow with us!

A BIG No- Central and 235 location. The day my kids were to start there was a conflict I don't want to get into but they were in the wrong. While I waited in the office for resolution a teacher brought a 4ish year old boy in the office and flung him into a dark nurses office, no one ever turned on the light. The director, forgetting I was there, just lays into him and I'm not exaggerating says "what is wrong with you? Do you have a brain in your head?! Do you even know how to think? Or are you just that stupid?!" And continued belittling him. I can't even remember her words because it was so shocked I got nauseous. She remembers I'm there and in a fake sweet voice says "you need to think before you act". Then while she was waiting on a computer tech person to call her back she suddenly storms past me, out the front door and returns dragging a 3 year old I remember from my tour, by her upper arm. The girl is hysterical and panicking. Almost can't breath from fear. The director drags her behind the desk, flings her behind a chair and just starts screaming "listen to your mother! She's out there with the baby! You're horrible! Stop crying! Stop crying! Shut up! You did this, your a bad girl! Look at yourself! Crying? Get over it!" And then proceeds to degrade that child also to a point that I can't remember specifics. I was sick. After the computer issue was resolved I left in a daze and cried all the way to work. But, As soon as I got there I turned around, got my children and never came back. It was abuse as far as I'm concerned. I've never seen anyone speak to children like that. I worked in child care for years in HS and college. The girl behind the desk was in terror, she was gasping for air in fear. For what? Doddling in the parking lot after her world was upended by mom having a new baby. I wanted to save her. The director is two faced and children are not safe there. Unless you're okay with the mental scars. I should have called the state. This is one of those visions of behind closed doors they don't want parents to see. As I was gathering my children's stuff up in a blanket, My sons teacher told me under her breath she was leaving the following week. Big surprise.
