Pruneridge - School History
The Pruneridge campus in Santa Clara, which opened its doors in 1968, was our very first Action Day Nursery school. It is an intimate, home-like child care facility made from two converted residences that stood on the original property. The spacious rooms allow us to group children according to age and provide them with many fun and developmentally- appropriate activities. Abundant outdoor play areas provide space for exercise and free-play.
We see what you see in your child. Our goal is to give children the opportunity to expand their knowledge, to learn about their capabilities and to develop positive ways to express themselves. This starts with a warm and nurturing environment filled with plenty of activities that promote enjoyment and confidence. We provide enrichment activities, such as dance programs and sports, for children as young as 18 months.
Enrichment activities round-out the preschooler’s day
Our credentialed program directors, who have degrees in early child education and development, believe it is of the utmost importance to hire experienced, loving caregivers for their students. They are passionate about providing a safe, comfortable and stimulating environment for all children, and a close- knit relationship with parents and families.
