My daughter attended ABC Dual Language Learning Center in Bryan, TX for no more than month, and I am very disappointed with the way my daughter was cared for. On her very first day, she came home with a deep intrusion on her face. After inquiring to the staff about what happened, no one had a direct answer. As a result, I called the director of the facility, Ana Mejia, and she took weeks to respond to me. Her response was that another child at the facility was excited to interact with my daughter and accidentally scratched her in the face. As weeks went by, more concerning issues occurred. During the week of May 14th, my daughter had been coming home with wet clothes. Once again, I questioned the staff regarding this issue, and I was told that they change her every hour. I informed them that their response was inadequate because it appears that she had been sitting in a wet diaper for hours. Since then, my daughter has developed a red diaper rash. I finally got in touch with director, Ana Mejia, and she completely dismissed my concerns. Due to Mejia's lack of compassion, respect, professionalism, and attempt to understand my concerns, I told her I was very displeased with how everything had been handled. Hours later, the director had a staff member to call me to schedule a meeting the next morning. When my fiancé went to pick up our daughter, Mejia informed her that the ABC Dual Language Center will no longer care for our daughter because she can’t have us making the facility "look bad." This comment deeply concerned me since my daughter is the only African-American child there at that age. After reflecting over our experience with the staff and director of the facility, I immediately felt that the comment was racially motivated

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

My complaint is on ABC Dual Language learning center in the city of Bryan. My child (Alannah Phillips,11 months) started daycare May 7,2018 at the above facility. Alannah was not properly taking care of. Her diaper was not being changed and left dirty multiple occasions. Upon her first day she was attacked by another child in her class, causing a deep scratch on her left cheek that has left a ugly scar. The following week Alannah would be covered with dried food on her face and in her hair. Also she was sent home daily with wet clothes. The director Ana Mejia told me i should dress her in cheap clothing instead of "high end" clothes.

May 16 I picked up my daughter and she had dried food all over her face and in her hair. Ana was standing next to me and I told her she's dirty, she then said something in Spanish and the afternoon fish teacher grabbed some baby wipes and cleaned her off. Friday May 18, 2018 I noticed Alannah had on a different outfit again. I asked the afternoon teacher what was going on with her, why is she in different clothes every time I pick her up. I also asked her is peeing out her diaper, she said, "Yes after she eats she pees a lot!".

Monday at dismissal Alannah was in a different outfit again. The afternoon fish teacher handed me my daughters dress soaking wet. I asked her what happened she said the morning teacher just gave it to her. Alannah dress smelled of urine and perfume. The staff tried to cover the urine smell. I was giving a report sheet with diaper changes and the documents were falsified. The handwriting was the same from 8 am all the way to 5 pm even though there are two different teachers for morning and noon classes. I had a meeting with the director Ana Mejia 5/21/2018 to show her the soaking wet clothes and the report sheet and Ana was very disrespectful. She wouldn’t let me talk she was closing her eyes while I was talking rolling her eyes etc as if what I was saying was boring and irrelevant. Ana calls the afternoon teacher in to see why her clothes was changed Friday and she changed her story to it was it was milk instead of pee. The fish teacher then disputed me down and said she didn't tell me that and how I was lying. Ana tells me maybe I should take her to the doctor for her frequent urination problem . Alannah doesn’t have a bladder problem.

Ana also tells me I no longer can bring my child to her facility since I wouldn't submit to her.I was thrown out of her office before i could show her my child's red bottom Ana didn't want to listen. I call 5/22/2018 at 8 am to ask her to have my child’s belongings ready for pick up and her Aunt will be there to pick them up and I got no answers. ABC DLLC were screening our calls, answer and would hang up and forwarded us to voicemail. Ana Mejia text me and told her staff to throw my child’s belongings outside like she’s an animal. I went to retrieve my things the office assistant was recording us and call the police on us. My daughter was treated unfairly. Things thrown outside like trash. I now have to miss out of work until I find a replacement daycare. How would you feel if your child was thrown out of daycare because of her mother complaining of her child being dirty and not attended too.
