Description: A Child's World is accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Accredited programs go through an extensive process to go above and beyond what state licensing regulations say are appropriate for child care centers. Children attending programs receive a higher quality of care from a well-trained staff and have a safe and stimulating early learning environment in which to learn and grow.
Our Curriculum comes from using a variety of approaches. Our lessons are planned by using the Developmentally Appropriate Practice, Integrated, Emergent and Anti-Bias approaches and using the ITERS/ECERS/SAERS environmental tools. All of these tools used together help us teach the whole child by creating a challenging, fun, stimulating and safe environment for the children to learn at their full potential.
A Child's World offers professional teachers, an indoor gym, an outdoor playground and home cooked meals. The center is open to the public, is licensed by the Department of Human services and is a separate program from the YWCA Shelter Children’s services.
