I worked for Wee Care Child Center for a total of 4 years and 3 months. I also had my son enrolled here for his first year of life. I feel I have a very well-rounded view and opinion of this establishment.
-From the staff member perspective: When I first walked in, I noticed that Wee Care's building was in pristine condition. The staff worked well to keep the facility clean and functional. As a staff member, I felt that the owners had the highest integrity. Nothing was "swept under the rug". They had the mindset of "if licensing came in today, what would they see?" They showed a deep respect for their parents. They wanted and encouraged involvement with parties and classroom activities. They kept the staff accountable to their job description and regularly held staff development meetings. I always felt "heard" if I had a concern or ideas for improvement. I thoroughly enjoyed my position at Wee Care and consider it a blessing to have learned from some great early childhood educators.
-From a parent perspective: As I already knew and understood that No One Could Care For My Baby Like I Can, the Nursery 1 ladies went above and beyond my expectations for childcare. I knew they did not have octopus arms and could not hold my son every second - like I would have - but he and his classroom of 9 other baby friends were either interacting with tummy time, or bouncing in the little bouncers, or rounders (also called exersaucer) or simply being held and listening to soft music all throughout the day. He was challenged as it became age appropriate to try rolling over, sitting up, and then standing up and walking. It was a busy room as you can imagine, but those ladies knew each and every one of those baby's schedules like the backs of their hands. The staff in that room had a rigorous cleaning and sanitizing schedule. I know this is tearning into a novel but I just can't write enough good things about this center. Please check them out and encourage good, no, GREAT childcare service because THAT is what we need more of.
