About the Provider

UUMC’s Early Childhood Center (ECC) provides quality care at a reasonable cost for children from two months to five years old. ECC offers half-day and full-day programs from 7:45 a.m-5:15 p.m, Monday through Friday, as well as two- and three-day options. In the five-day Co-operative Program, parents participate by spending a morning at the center every two weeks, as well as by providing nutritious snacks. ECC serves primarily UT students and church members; when possible, it also offers child care to the community at large. Each child is regarded as an important, likeable, capable individual, and children are encouraged to develop independence and confidence in their abilities by making choices. Guidance is positive, designed to enhance the child’s feeling of self-worth. Established in 1971 by UUMC, ECC uses church facilities, primarily on the ground floor of Heinsohn Hall.
