Description:
Kaye Boehning opened the school in September 1997. The goal was to provide a Christian-based Montessori school where the children were free to learn at their own place. Mrs. Boehning wanted to bring Montessori to Huntsville and make it affordable for everyone who just had their child in "day care". Typically Montessori is available only to the wealthy ($900.00-$1,000.00 per month) or the very poor (located in many head start programs nationwide). The school is a 4-star Texas Rising Star through Gulf Coast Careers, and accepts C.C.M.S. clients. Tomorrow's Promise also offers limited work scholarships for parents, where they can volunteer to work at the school in exchange for tuition discounts. In March of 2000 the school became a non-profit corporation and moved to its present location in May, 2000. In August, 2000 the house next door was purchased and the school doubled it's square footage overnight. Tomorrow's Promise is associated with The Houston Montessori Center in Houston, Texas.
Initial License Date: 5/3/2000.
