I absolutely love Tennyson Playcare! My oldest daughter started there when she was almost 3 and stayed with them until kindergarten. Now my younger daughter attends and has since she was 6 weeks old. The staff there is exceptional and definitely cares about the kids and the parents. My oldest daughter attended 3 day cares before I found Tennyson. She hated all of them until she got there. They really believe in the power or playing and learning. Some of the teachers are in school for child care degrees and they are always excited to start new projects with the kids and teach them new things. I fully believe that my daughter is so far ahead of her class mates in her reading because of the head start she got at Tennyson. Another thing is they have the most reasonable rates you could find in Waco as well as great hours! If you're looking for a reliable and high quality child care center, this is definitely the best in Waco!!

Robert, I'm sorry you feel the way you do. Men peeking around corners?? Not sure what that's about. We have dads and grandpas that pick up their children, there are people that walk the neighborhood, and there are apartments in our neighborhood. We have no control over the general public outside our doors and if there ever was an issue I would be contacting the authorities. As far as the environment being dirty...the building is 75% remodeled at this point. We take care of cleaning through out everyday and have janitors that clean each evening. Unsafe??? How? I will be glad to address any questions you have if you would like to contact me. We follow all rule and guidelines and don't have safety issues. Our classrooms are not as small as some and I'm sure there are those that are larger but I have no control over the size. Our building was built 45 years ago as a childcare center and has done well for itself since then. I also feel all my staff have the qualifications to work with children otherwise they would not be here. Working in childcare is not easy, if they didn't love the job they would leave the job! We have a very good record for the number of years in service with our staff. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I'm sorry we couldn't meet the standards you felt like we should have met. Tennyson can be a good or bad daycare depending on your taste. From the first time I walked in there, a lot of red flags shot all over the place. The environment is dirty, small, and unsafe. The quality of the staff is so so. You have the ones that are obviously there for a paycheck and some that actually want to work. Some don't even have the qualifications to work with children and there's weird men peeking around throughout the day. I wouldn't keep my child here but everyone is entitled to their opinion. The location can be ideal for those who stay in the area. Other than that, this daycare is easy to pass by in exchange for something better.
