About the Provider
The Discovery Days Preschool program is part of the First United Methodist Church of Blue Ridge. It serves the community providing enriched child care to young children. The central goal of the program is to provide an environment consistent with Christian values while providing positive life experiences that build a good self image, foster creativity, teach appreciation of the world and develop an awareness of all persons as children of God. Discovery Days recognizes the developmental needs of the child and emphasizes emotional, spiritual and physical growth as a continuous interrelated process. In order to implement this philosophy, the main function of the Discovery Days staff is to give the children love, acceptance, encouragement, and to stimulate growth in learning situations.
