Description: The Children's Coalition, a nonprofit organization registered in the state of Texas, is housed at 5127 Avenue U, Galveston, TX, 77551. We are leasing space from Westminster Presbyterian Church, however, we are unaffiliated with the church. The Coalition formed because of an immediate need on Galveston Island for quality childcare following Hurricane Ike and the flooding of the daycare building many of us previously used at the University of Texas Medical Branch. In response, we parents formed our own parent co-op (nonprofit corporation with members (parents of enrolled children) and a Board of Directors) with many of the same teachers and the same managing director from the former UTMB Child Care Center.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.
