Description: Port Lavaca, Texas, is the home to HJM Elementary School, located on the Gulf Coast between Houston and Corpus Christi. Our goal is to prepare children to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world and develop responsible, concerned, contributing members of society by providing a student-centered environment which promotes lifelong skills. HJM is a progressive school that serves children from Early Childhood through the Fifth Grade. The school is involved in many educational initiatives including a Micro-Community called Sharktown U.S.A
