Description: Pine Grove Child Development Center is a developmental, discovery-oriented preschool dedicated to peace and to teaching respectful ways of resolving conflict. We are deeply committed to individualized, child-centered learning and believe that young children learn best when they are stimulated to explore a rich array of hands-on materials at their own pace. Our philosophy is based on the principles of Maria Montessori and incorporates the theories of John Dewey, Jean Piaget, and Carl Rogers. These professionals believed that children are naturally curious and when given the opportunity to explore their own interests, they more readily internalize the concepts.
