About the Provider
Cornerstone Christian Academy is a non-denominational, independent Christian school serving the greater Presque Isle area and is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). The school opened in the Fall of 2006 and is owned and operated by the Cornerstone Christian Academy Association, Inc. – a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. The Board of Directors, elected by the corporate membership at the annual meeting, administers the affairs of the Association. The Head of School is appointed by the Board and oversees the day-to-day operation of the school.
Parents are encouraged to take an active part in the school experience for they play a pivotal role in the development of their children’s positive attitudes towards school, appropriate behavior, and respectful interactions with others. The Academy depends on parental involvement in such activities as work nights, fundraisers, and parent-teacher meetings.
The Academy is a mission that is financially dependent on donations from private individuals and local churches, fundraising efforts, and tuition.
