Description: The St. Francis of Assisi After-School Care Program provides the children of working parents with a safe and healthy environment in which they may pursue play, academic or other pursuits in the afternoon hours afterschool. The program is focused upon providing a loving and positive environment in which the children's needs for physical, emotional, and spiritual safety are well met. As members of the AfterCare family, each student's sense of belonging to both the human and Christian communities is reinforced and explored during daily activities and interactions with peers and staff. Consistent adult role modeling and supervision, activities which are appropriate to the children's intellectual and recreational needs, and ample time for self-expression during free-play, structured activities and art will insure that each student is provided an environment in which each child feels comfortable to play, learn and grow.
