This is a terrible daycare long story short, My son was at Goddard Danbury for close to two years, and during that time there have been several Connecticut DCF and Police complaints made about one of the teachers. Initially the two directors of the school told the parents that the first complaint did not involve physical abuse and was made by racist parents. So naturally we did not take any action regarding these complaints, despite the fact that they were made in the first few months my son was there. Flash forward to 06/19/22 and my son came home with a bruise on his neck that was obviously caused by an adults hand and stating that his teacher choked him. I immediately called the parents of the other students who were present and both stated that their kids said the teacher choked my son. Through the process of filing a police report and following up with DCF we found two other parent's that stated this teacher struck their children. This is fundamentally different than what the director stated about the nature of the complaint, and had we known we would have immediately pulled my son from the school, knowing she remained in a classroom. Clearly this school has covered up a series of complaints and protected a serial abuser.
