All Precious Children Preschool

This is a great school with great teachers. My grandson attended this school from the time that he was 1 until he entered kindergarten. The testing they did in the first year of an all day school he tested way above all of the other students in all skills. To me this gives a lot of credit to the teachers in the school. I am thankful that he attended All precious children learning center and the teachers at the school.

My son started with APCLC 2 years ago. Dawn was the director until this last school year when she was relieved of her position. We absolutely LOVE Dawn and the opportunities she gave to my son. He has far exceeded academically than I could have ever hoped for and he was so loved by Dawn and some of the teachers. If it wasn't for Dawn, I would have pulled him from the school pretty quick. The lack of care from the young teacher Tiffany, was absolutely absurd. My son had a couple poop accidents in his underwear--this teacher proceeds to leave my son's feces in is underwear and bags it up...letting it sit in a bag all day instead of dumping it into the toilet like a civilized human-being. I'm not asking for his laundry to be done, just flush his poop! The teachers share classrooms and I could never locate my child always going from classroom to classroom to find him. I had to replace clothing on the regular since the staff didn't utilize cubbies for the children's belongings. My son is where he is today because of Ms. Dawn and that preschool is at a total disservice without her given some of the teachers are even real teachers. When I contacted the new director for this upcoming year, Ms. Tabitha, regarding what this school year would look like without Ms. Dawn as Tabitha was moved into her place...she proceeds to bash and attempt to discredit Dawn as a leader. How completely unprofessional to do such a thing to the families! I very happy I chose to not return to this preschool for the upcoming year.

My son went to APC school a couple days a week for a whole school year and it was great, he is a SPDer so he needs some special attention and the staff at this school did whatever was necessary for him to learn and become more confident... very happy environment. Miss Dawn was very personal in her relation with me from the beginning, and still today eight month after my son stop going to that school, he still remembers everyone there, the playgrounds, toys and activities. I wish they offer summer camps because i will for sure sign him in to go.
you will be happy is you enroll your child into this school.

I have an interesting perspective on this school since I have been involved with the organization for almost 10 years. I've watched it grow from one small classroom to four classrooms and now it's standing at three. The program has gone through 4 directors in that timeframe as well and I've both respected and admired each and every one of them. So much so that now that I have my own children they will both attend APC. The school's small class sizes along with dedicated and trained teachers makes it an A plus school in my eyes. My son loves going on the days he attends and it's hard to get him to leave when I pick him up. Did the school go through some growing pains, yes, but I think that they have come out on top because of their commitment to make it a great school and their love of children. I would highly recommend this preschool to anyone looking for a high quality education and kindergarten preparedness course.

Absolutely happy with the loving and nurturing environment that this school provided for my children. My two kiddos attended this school for a few years. The education that APC provides to their students is at a higher level which made my child's transition to kindergarten successful. We love all the staff and their loving and caring hearts! I have seen this school come a long way in the past few years and I would highly recommend it to anyone!

This is an amazing school my daughter has been here for two years. She is extremely happy and so am I. My daughters teacher Ms. Dawn is amazing and loves the children very much I've come early to listen in on what is going on and she truly does care about the children and her learning. I disliked Stephanie very much (she isn't there anymore) she was not very nice to the children. Ms. Julie and Ms. Michelle are very great teachers too. To one of the previous comments the reason why the preparation for ms Julie maturity leave was difficult was because they were not given the proper resources to find the right replacement for her and because they were still trying to cope with losing mrs heather as the director. David was a temporary replacement until ms dawn and ms Julie took over it was either that or close the school. People do not realize the importance in children having dramatic play in school. It isn't just a place to drop your kids off they learned and grow as children I am extremely happy my daughter was at this school for two years. Highly recommend

My oldest child attended this small private preschool two years ago and Heather Hoffman was the director! She was amazing and so involved in my childs education! unfortunately my daughter was having a hard time being away from home, so with the help from Heather, she was so supportive in helping us to decide to wait a few years. Now the school is being ran by a new director, David. Not only do I not know his last name, but the communication has been very poor with any conversations I have wanted to have regarding my now TWO children! My oldests teacher, Mrs. Julie recently had a baby, and in no way did they prepare for her leave. There are two unlicensed "teachers" in her room now and are very unfriendly, very opinionated about how to handle my own child, do not work well with the kids. I spent an hour observing the class one morning to just be so upset when I left at how they were handling difficult children, they seemed to get very frustrated and very uncaring to any of there needs. One of the supervisors being very young and not a certified teacher, I was very unhappy to know that she would be in charge while Julie was on maternity leave. With several issues also happening with the school, A child ( age 4) in the last year had apparently gotten out of the school and was found wondering around several blocks away, when he was returned to the school, noone knew he was gone and had apparently been gone for an hour or so. With this news brought to my attention, I questioned the director (David) and was explained the same scenario and now they have monthly inspections by Jefferson County and are on probation as a school! I was NOT HAPPY!!! So I asked other parents about the issues I had learned and other issues at hand, such as a lice breakout, we were told about until asking, also other contagious health issues that were not told to anyone, until they were questioned.. None seemed to be informed of such things and also got very concerned. Finding out Heather would not be returning, because of her being diagnosed with cancer, ( she is always in my prayers) I have decited to pull both my children from the school. This one review, but it is a Review I will be posting whereever possible to make aware that as a parent, I do not feel safe or satisfied with the people involved with this facility and will continue to be in contact with Jefferson County on the progress of the issues that are hidden from us parents!

My daughter has attended All Precious Children Preschool for the last two years. We are so excited to see her beginning to read and write at 4 years old. My son will start attending there next year. The staff there had been great, and the price is very affordable compared to other preschools in the area. We would definately recommend APC to anyone looking for a preschool in this area.

All Precious Children Preschool is the BEST preschool I have ever seen. Before putting my children in their program I searched 12 different preschools in the Arvada, Wheat Ridge, Westminster, and Lakewood area. What attracted me the most was the school curriculum program where it was not just a daycare. Not only do they work on on math, language arts, science, and social studies; they also spend adequate time adapting technology, spanish, sign language, music, physical education, and art into the school week. This is the school for you if you want to give your child a jump start into kindergarten. Both my sons have been in the program and my oldest son is now leading his first grade class in reading, and math! APCP was the greatest decision my husband and I ever made and I owe all the teachers for all their hard work. From the minute you walk in the door until the minute you leave I know my child is in loving, caring hands and will be taken care of. Thank you APCP for everything you do and I will never forget what you have done for my children.

If you want to just drop your children off and pick them up with no involvment in their education, this is the place for you! I, on the other hand, prefer to be informed of what is taking place in the school, any major changes or events. The staff does not communicate well with the parents. As of 2011-12, there is a new director, who is struggling with the position; she is disorganized and unapproachable. She does not take responsiblity for issues, instead deflecting them. She took a personal attack on me when I questioned the certification of a teacher. If there was no issue, she could have just shown me the credentials. Instead, I never got a clear answer as to the teacher's status.
