My daughter has attended preschool at South Shore Trinity (half day, twice weekly) for the 2017-2018 school year. She LOVES it! It has been really fun to watch her grow and learn.
I am particularly impressed with genuine care and support provided by Ms. Jolene and Ms. Ruth. My daughter has struggled to reach some developmental milestones when she should and I feel they made great efforts to help with her development. They definitely recognize each child for the unique individual that he or she is.
There is a good balance of structure and open/independent learning at SST Preschool. Field trips throughout the year to places the kids LOVE, that are related to the themes they have been learning about in the classroom, with opportunities for parents to attend IF they want to/can. They definitely strive to get children ready to enter kindergarten and have conferences twice a year (just like regular schools) to keep you up-to-date on how your child is doing.
We are returning for 3 day per week full-day program for the 2018-19 school year.
Just to note, it IS a church program - there is chapel each week with one of the pastors and they learn about Jesus and the Bible. This was certainly not an issue for our family but just something to take into consideration if your family is not Christian or religious or if this would be a personal issue for your family.
