All God's Children

My daughter has been going to All God's Children since she was 3 months old. We have absolutely loved the care they have provided and our girl adores all her teachers. When a child is running to them at drop-off and always smiling when picked up, that tells all. I see the director at almost every drop-off. I recommend this facility at a high level to all.

After only a few weeks of enrolling my son into All God’s Children we had issues with inconsistency, unprofessional employees and lack of detailing which should be expected from any business watching children. I enrolled my child into the daycare during a time that kept being referred to as “a transitional period” from one owner to the next. One would think that when the current financial officer becomes the owner there would not be issues however this was the opposite of our experience. For starters, after enrollment of my son all of his paperwork was “misplaced” which was several weeks after my son being enrolled into the daycare which is a concern because it would mean they no longer had any of our contact information, emergency contact information or records on file. When this was brought up to the new owners the reaction I received was “well we are going through a transition into new ownership”. Alright. The next issue I had was after an entire month of my son attending the daycare we had originally signed up for direct withdraw payment to be taken out automatically every Friday. One would think that as the financial officer who took over the responsibility as owner I would not have any issues with my direct payment being set up, however; I had to bring it to their attention after a month of attendance. My husband and I decided to throw in the towel after the owner, Julie Norton, insinuated my husband was a bad father. My son had a low-grade fever of 99.2 and the daycare called to inform us and my husband requested for the daycare to keep an eye on the temperature and we would be taking him into the doctor at 5:30pm when he was able to pick him up after work. The handbook clearly states anything over 101 is a fever. Julie specifically says to my husband and I “Who the Hell just leaves their kid at daycare like that when we call”. There are so many issues with this including it reflects a non-Christian environment. All of our issues stemmed from Julie or Jerrica who clearly had no idea how to run the business/administrative side of the company. The daycare workers seemed fine and I never had an issue when my child was in the baby room. I have found childcare for my son elsewhere in Columbia that has a clean record of no violations and I suggest for everyone to closely look into the recent violations of this daycare because there are other options for a happy, Christian based environment.

If you want inadequately trained children caring for your child(ren), a director who is never present at drop off and pick up times, staff that has constant turnover, no real lesson plans for pre-k other than mundanely rewriting the alphabet over and over, and a place where your child can have a bruise on her head (more than three times in a month) with no one able to tell you what happened or offer an incident report, then look no further! This is the place for you! Don't take my word for it, look on the TN department of human services website at their violations. They just received at least two more violations in May 2017. There is no one there who actually knows what they are doing or capable of adequately caring for children. One of the workers left the 3 or 4 infants in her care completely alone, knowing a state employee was there to assess her, I ask you if she does this whilst being watched, what does she do when no one is watching??? I could even be more understanding if she were a new employee, she has been there close to, if not 2 years. This place is a joke. The owner and director Cheryl Sierson, is a joke. The "teachers" are a joke. Their lack of curriculum is a joke. This should be called what it is, an overpriced daycare, where you occasionally bump into her super creepy husband. It is not a true curriculum based pre-school. No one is properly trained as an educator or even a caregiver as far as that goes. And NO ONE is paying attention to the children. My suggestion? Look elsewhere for care, we are.
