I have toured this provider's facility, but have not used its services

I checked out the inside, it was clean enough but there is not enough staff for the children. Some were crying unattended, others had soiled themselves and were not changed. One child had food smeared up his face that was not wiped off. I will not send my child here.

I am the owner

Hello, I am the owner of Mia Bella Daycare. I have been a licensed in home daycare for 8 years. I love my job and most importantly I love children. I have this profession so I can raise my children while helping working parents raise their's. In a specific situation as reviewed on here I did everything in my power to accommodate the needs and wants. However, I'm a licensed in-home daycare and have to meet state standards for the food and nutrition program. I always maintain a standard of professionalism. A handbook is given to every client and they sign a paper agreeing with the terms and conditions. If the client can't abide by the hand book a 2 week notice is given. I strive and take pride in helping with the upbringing of our children who are the future.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Mia Bella is the most amazing, loving, caring and the up most BEST daycare center in Marion County. My son has been attending here since August of 2014. He has learned so much, much more than any school or other day care can provide him. He went from only saying "Momma and Dadda" to speaking in full sentences. Not only can he speak more fluently, but he can also count to over 100, knows all of his letters and numbers, can recognize them on paper or in a book, but, he can WRITE HIS NAME! At his age that is totally impressive. I do believe that my son is extremely advanced and all credit is due to Mrs. Danneielle and Mia Bella! I highly recommend this daycare. I have never, ever, had a problem with bumps or bruises, other than other children and lets face it... they're going to get a little banged up here and there... I mean, unless they are left in a "bubble" 24/7.

Thanks for reading!!!!
Mia Bella = A+++++++++++++

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

We attended this daycare for a little over one year. My first impression was a clean, friendly atmosphere where children were engaged and happy. Throughout the next year we noticed a few problems. The owner is insistent in her own prcedures, does not adapt easily to the specific needs of the children. She repeatedly questioned the validity of using breastmilk to the point of saying a state nutritionist requires cow's milk after first birthday. We printed out and delivered state health standards stating otherwise. Our second major occurrence was over not using baby powder as our child has a severe reaction. Even after sending her a doctor's note explaining the reaction she insisted she knew better, resulting in a need for prescription ointment to correct his bottom. My child received small injuries that we were not informed of, and we had to text or question her to get information. She does not handle difference of opinion or confrontation, so being an involved, attantive, and proactive parent is seen as a threat causing her to act defensive. Upon my child falling on her tile floor and receiving a bump on the head her response to being questioned is to threaten to keep him in a jumper or playpen all day rather than just being more attentive to the needs of a beginning walker. Sadly, what started out as an amazing experience changed drastically over the year.
