Regarding the violations that took place in 2019. I would like to inform you that the facility have always been compliant with the safety guidelines and have always been backed up by my security vendor ADT . Unfortunate this specific inspector wanted a separate smoke detector for each of the room which goes against what has been established and approved in the past. Also the closets have always passed inspections , this specific inspector wanted physical keys for each . Regarding other violations mentioned about caregivers being preset, supervision and anyone 18 years old , etc this was all an internal issue within ACS where they lost all of my recertification papers and therefore they had to mark them as violation knowingly this was their fault. I also like to reiterate that these recertification papers were shown to this inspector, but unfortunately he would accept them because they needed to be submitted by the ACS office

I have toured this provider's facility, but have not used its services

Took a tour recently. Place seemed clean. Small but organized. director did not appear to have welcoming demeanor and when asked some simple questions about her rogram she had a hard time answering. We decided on sending our daughter elsewhere.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Little Wonders has been my provider for almost four years now and have nothing but praises. The facility is very clean and has a very child friendly staff. As a working mother it is very important that you have peace of mind as you leave your children in care. I can assure you my children are always clean and happy but most importantly they love the staff of Little Wonders!!! That above all assures me of the excellent quality of care my children are receiving there. In conclusion I would recommend this facility to anyone!!!

Since I could not disagree more with the above review, I feel compelled to write on behalf of Little Wonders Day Care. It is sad to see someone who once was called a friend turned "client", write such baseless, malicious review for the sole purpose of bolstering their frivolous lawsuit. I have nothing but praise for the wonderful owner and staff of Little Wonders. They have been taking care of my daughter since she was born and as I tell my friends and family "is the only place where I can drop her off in the morning with my eyes closed". Contrary to the reviewer's assertions they are extremely accommodating when you have an emergency or are running late for pick up time and there is always licensed, qualified staff at hand. The fact that one is unhappy because is not allowed to create his own rules, drop off and pick up times, says all about the reviewer(s). The best way out of a binding contract? Try to breach it using dubious, inflammatory remarks about an establishment that has been nothing but a blessing for me and many other parents that have trusted their children to their care. Day Care Centers, beware of people like these.

As the owner and provider of Little Wonders Daycare; In response to the review, I would like to note that it was left by a parent whom which we had been friends with prior to any business correlation. These parents knew my family personally and in relation have used them to spread defamatory comments about my business because they were denied any refund, as it would be breaking contract. This would not be the first time they have had calumnious reviews to comment on previously used daycares. Because this situation derives from money issues we are now to settle in court.

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

PARENTS BEWARE:
Had the unfortunate experience of using this provider and trusting them since we had known them personally. After 2 weeks of our twins attending we pulled our infant children out. Knowing our children are safe and who is with them is our #1 priority. On one occasion wife showed up early to pick them up and looked through glass to see the only person in room watching children was owners unauthorized 80+ grandmother .. no attendant. Wife rang bell and they did not open door till moved grandma out of room. Another occasion again looked through window and saw owners teenage children playing with our kids!!! Who gave this permission? Yes this is family day care but there are laws and guidelines to be followed and only authorized licensed attendants and owner should be with the children. In 2 weeks time, we experienced / there was constant rudeness and lack of respect shown by the owner Jacqueline towards us, as well her employee. When trying to discuss our concerns both the owner and husband became defensive, rude and made accusations as if we are in the wrong. They refused to refund our remaining monies even though we raised legitimate concerns .. as they say the contract requires 2 week notice ... afterfew conversations they agreed to return half the money due back (since we paid for full month yet children only attended for 2 weeks) but owners tune changed when we submitted the required letter indicating the children would no longer attend. She did not like that letter indicated we had a poor experience. Finally resent them letter revised without comments of poor experience but owner and husband now ignoring our contact. Unfortunately now need to resolve this in court.
There are many great establishments on staten island. We are very happy with the place we now use . Just be weary has the owner is not very friendly nor accommodating which leaves uncomfortable feeling with regards to how children are treated and cared for.
