I wish I could give this facility a zero star. Had a horrible experience there where my daughter escaped from the facility into the parking lot, alone. She's 2! I hope that this incident is an eye opening one for the owner, and she takes what happened as a lesson, and trains her staff to look after the little ones better, and to safeguard the building so this never ever happens again.

"The Enchanted Garden" began as a public access television show based on the parent-child music program Judy Hirt-Manheimer developed in 1989 to teach music to a handful of friends and their young children. As interest grew, the class moved from her living room to Ridgefield Parks and Recreation, then to a storefront and in 2000 to its award-winning building at 165 Danbury Road. At its expanded space the Enchanted Garden grew to include comprehensive dance and theater programs; preschool, pre-K, and Twos programs; yoga classes and birthday parties on weekends. Four years later, Judy's sons Noah and Isaac completed their graduate studies in music and joined the staff. The Enchanted Garden expanded again in 2004 with the addition of a second facility – a spacious state-of-the-art studio on a two-acre site at 529 Ethan Allen Hwy. The school could now offer private music and voice lessons, additional dance and drama programs, a recording studio, performance space, gymnastics program, and ongoing art exhibits. Today the Enchanted Garden is one of the area's premier arts education centers, and for Judy's many contributions to arts education, the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce awarded her its most prestigious prize – The Chamber Choice Award.
