Description: Weekday Nursery School is a non-profit, state licensed school located in the heart of Northport village. We have been providing quality pre-school programs in the community since 1970. Our roomy, sun-filled classrooms provide a welcoming atmosphere for the children to learn and explore. We offer programs for three and four year old children and a Kindergarten Enrichment program to complement the local school district's program. Our goal is to nurture a child's sense of discovery by providing opportunities for hands-on learning and creative development. In this atmosphere we strive to cultivate each child's independence, compassion for others, individual potential and growth in responsible, trusting relationships. Our staff is composed of experienced, nurturing and committed teachers. All staff members receive training yearly to keep up to date with the latest teaching strategies. Teachers plan a curriculum designed to stimulate a love of learning through creative activities, interactive play and communication with their classmates and teachers.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.
