Head Start is NOT a Day Care Center. It is a Pre- School readiness program that involves continual learning for the children. There are lesson plans, activities that must fit certain guidelines for children' s learning of certain skills. As the children move through the year and grow..they will learn the next skill. Even during play, the teacher and assistant must engage the children. There is much more, but all this to say..it' s much more than a Day Care. ?
