I started my child at this school and then heard from the staff that the Director Mr. Sam physically embarrassed a child at his former school and CPS was called in and had a case about his abuse. I have since pulled my child out of that school. I do not want my child near that man, he is awful he shows favoritism to the children and some of them see it. Other parents are hearing about this and are pulling their child out too!

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

My child has attended this preschool for a couple of years. The director, Donna, and her assistant Sonia are very welcoming and nurturing to the kids. When taking the tour I was impressed with the organized christian curriculum and I liked the small class size. The director has over 10 years of experience teaching kindergarten and has many years of administrative leadership as well. She went above and beyond to help my child ease into a school environment and was very accomodating when I had concerns over my child's various food allergies. She even prayed over my child when I had to pick up early from school due to sickness.
When I dropped my child off late after an appointment I was very happy to see the director and staff doing morning devotionals with the entire school. A few teachers were very nice, but my review is a WARNING to parents about a few of the other teachers. I witnessed a teacher named Davey scold a child very harshly till he was crying. She even told him that if he didn't stop crying that she would tell his mom to give him spankings at home and when the child asked to go to the bathroom, she refused to let the child go to the bathroom or even drink water!!!!
Miss Zyrah would often ignore the children and when it was time for parent conferences I was livid because she had NO work to show me. My child's journal had one line of capital letter A and the rest of the notebook was empty. She is the LAZIEST teacher I have ever seen.
My child's last year of school was with Miss Cyndi. I took my child out of preschool over this teacher specifically. When signing out my child in the hallway, I could hear her gossiping and swearing very loudly about the other teachers and how she wanted to try to get parents to write bad reviews and even make complaints to state licensing to try and shut down the school!!! I did not want my child to be near such a TOXIC, BITTER, and VENGEFUL person. When a student asked if she would read to them, she told them to go away and read it to themselves because she was too busy talking. It is frightening to think that people like this are so two-faced and only to try to undermine leadership and pursue their own agenda. I hope that these few bad apples never work with children or ruin the reputation of this preschool.
There are very kind and loving teachers at this school who are great with kids, genuinely love their job, and actually follow through with the school's christian curriculum. LOVE this school and I would have kept my child enrolled if it weren't for the few HORRIBLE teachers.

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

please DO NOT send your child here. i had high hopes for this preschool when i enrolled my daughter who attended the last 2 months of the 2 yr old program in 2014 miss davey was awesome but she left right when the new school year started. all was well until the start of the 3 yr old program in Aug 2014. my daughter could not stop talking about miss zyrah the first week . next thing you know she left. WBS notified me the day of her parting the preschool . not even 2 months into the start of the new school year and 3 teachers and a couple of aids have left. they worst part of it was they had not found a replacement for the 2yr olds so the put them in with the 3yr olds mind you my daughters class had already 3 different teachers within 2 months of school starting . this school is not cheap! I HAVE NOT SIGNED MY DAUGHTER UP TO BE IN A CLASSROOM WITH 2yr olds.

i had pulled out my daughter when I started seeing 2yr olds mixed in her 3yr old class on top of that i learned that the director was not getting along with the teachers and aids that had quit unexpectedly. we are talking about highly accredited teachers with outstanding reputations amongst previous students that attended years before that parents have raved about and all of a sudden POOF they quit NO NOTICE OF THEM LEAVING UNTIL COUPLE DAYS PRIOR THEY LEFT. if i had received a 30 day notice of a change in teachers i would have written them a 30 day notice letter of withdrawal for my daughter as per the contract. i pulled her out sept 4 2014 . little did i know that the contract i signed was to protect WBS cause there high turn over rate with teachers. the smart parents to get there child out of there ASAP due to the instability of the preschool itself. WBS has kept my deposit of $890.00 saying it went to the Sept 2014 tuition. this school is a joke! wake up parents ! when there is a high turn over rate of employees/teachers in any business/school thats means management in this case the school director is causing turmoil, instability amongst the school itself. the students are paying the price of the director and teachers not getting along. no consistency for developing children's minds and trust . WBS breached there side of the contract where i was told that each age had there own class rooms and teachers and do not intertwine 2yr with 3yr olds which went on for almost a month.

i also did my research on this director and she has no experience in directing a school . her so called 20+ years experience was being a secretary to schools, not directing or teaching.

it was Donna Sunabe(director) and Pastor Matt of the church who confirm that this is the final decision to keep my $890.00 deposit. what kind of baptist Christian decision is this when clearly WBS breached their contract . if i knew that they going to put 2yr olds with the 3yr old class i would have NEVER signed up for this school!

this preschool has so much potential ... instead they hire ding dongs as directors...

my daughter now goes to an awesome preschool in nuuanu where they have a teacher and an aide, they are best! she is already writing her name and is thriving beyond her age!

I had my daughter there for 7 weeks only. I posted a detailed review on yelp telling my story.
In a nutshell these two women ruin the whole school because:
1- they sit right in the front of the school so you have to see them daily.
2- they are far from being any type of Christian!
3- they like to gossip ALOT
4- the 110 per month charge is very high for what they offer and the size of the classroom
5- Their lunches look like slop on paper plates and they call it gormet.
6- i think this school has someting not right about its marketing of Chistian values when the principal and her assistant are far from Christian!
7- All they care about is $$$ and are so DISINTERESTED IN YOUR CHILD!!!
8- The principal yells at children / students and parents and she definately has control issues
9- Her assistant works part time, so she is always making you feel like you need to hurry up and pay in 1 day notice.
10- the principal is always TRYING TO BE nice she forgets to be nice and is a nightmare to work with about your child.

So do yourself a favor and YOUR CHILD...RUN and never look back or twice!
