Description: Iowa State University Child Care Center at Veterinary Medicine Welcome to ISU Child Care at Vet Med! Our center opened in August 1997. Iowa State University created our center as a progressive and flexible benefit for students and University employees. We have the capacity for 79 children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. We offer infants through school-aged children a rich choice of activities to ensure that all of the children are allowed to grow and learn at their own pace.Building with blocks, singing songs, experimenting with magnets. Gluing and painting, assembling puzzles, snuggling for a story, dressing up for dramatic play. Whether they are playing peek-a-boo with a baby or encouraging a child to experiment with measuring tools, our experienced faculty are well aware that it is often the process, not the product that helps a child learn, solve problems or simply make a friend.We are conveniently located on the Iowa State University Veterinary Medicine campus, close to I-35 and Highway 30, and just minutes from Iowa State's main campus.
