I am an employee

Hello! My name is Lona McClain and I am the current Director at New Pathways Child Development Center, formerly Tiny Tots. I have been the Director here for 6 years. New Pathways is a 4 Star Step Up to Quality Rated center. We have worked hard to achieve this goal! As a fully accredited preschool and child care program your child will experience a fun and exciting curriculum and loving staff. We enjoy seeing children learn and grow daily. Please visit our website www.newpathwayschild.care or our Facebook page to find more information. We have many great reviews from our current and past families we would love to share with you!

0 STAR- Our child was in attendance to this daycare for more than 1 year and when concerns aroused, the director acted if she was compassionate and understanding while in conversation with us parents. Staff was found in panic and flustered when parent showed up and they couldn't find a phone # cause our child threw up, staff told lies to Director about conversations, 2 week notice was verbally given to director and a few days before our child's last day, she had a conversation with us stating that we should take our child and leave (with no notice and parents were on their way to work),denied deposit to be returned to us, stated she had documentation of when we brought concerns to her, but when asked for the documentation, she denied it to us, staff brought FALSE accusations against parents, staff was on personal phone call and when this was addressed with director it was stated she was off the clock, but later stated staff was watching us outside as she was waiting for kids from the bus (we wonder if she was off the clock while attending to the kids...hmmm I don't know anyone that just hangs around out of the kindness of their hearts & works without pay, director redirected statements that were made to her and could not give reasonable explanation as to why this decision was made, but stated the owner MARK ROESER was aware and made this decision more than a week ago, but parents were never notified of this. When concerns were brought to her attention, she talks about the staff's notices to leave with parents, concerns that were brought to her attention were some of which came from our child's doctor and Director stated that she got approval from Owner, then stated in conference that she didn't. Director denied our child to say good bye to the friends that she made, leaving her in tears, Director refused information to contact owner and stated that the owner was aware of what was going on, director discussed false things that never occurred with parents, blaming parents for doing and saying things they didn’t do or say, our child was sick 3 times in a 2 week period and when discussed with director, it was stated they clean their cots once a week, puke stains still on floor from 3 kids throwing up 2 weeks ago, professional carpet cleaners are not used when a child pukes on the floor, but your child sits and plays on the floor. Director accused parent of having attitude, but had attitude herself when speaking to parents. We believe that if this happened to our family, that this is capable of happening to anyone else’s family.
