Description: ¡Bienvenidos! The Pineapple School™ is an early learning center that provides Spanish language and cultural immersion for children six weeks to five years of age. As children enter the doors, they are immersed in the Spanish language through play, music, dance, literacy, games and conversation; this encourages bilingualism within an age window during which the ability to learn a second language is at its peak. At The Pineapple School, children are provided age-appropriate activities in an atmosphere reflecting the warmth, charm and color of Latin America.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. I don’t recommend the pineapple school to anyone.
During the covid-19 virus the pineapple school Huebner location had the first confirmed case in San Antonio. The CDC stated that the school should have closed because they had a confirmed case inside their facility. The daycare never closed for a day, and they claimed due to the childcare shortage and the need for healthcare workers to continue to work, that they needed to remain open. However, the decision was clearly a financial decision, because they continued to charge everyone even when our children weren’t attending the school anymore. They never asked if we needed our space or if we were able to give it to someone who truly needed it, like an essential worker. They never called or emailed to see if we were experiencing hardship due to a loss of job, they just kept charging for 3 weeks, without offering discounts, meals, or online education. Absolutely nothing was offered! When we called to withdrawal our son from the program on Friday 3/20. We were told that we would not be charged anymore but yet they still processed a payment the following Monday for tuition and refused to honor their word of not charging us anything else. They still are refusing to refund the tuition and don’t care about what the situation maybe with the people in their community.
