Facility is very nice, Teachers are friendly and engaged with the kids. Daily routine and curriculum are great. Our daughter is very happy there.
Now, the reason for the 2 start rating. The center has several policies and practices that are over the top intrusive.
1. Unreasonable dietary restrictions on what can be in a lunch box. (and I don't mean normal things like 'no peanuts') They don't allow: chips, juice, cookies, ect..... I get trying to help kids eat healthy, but if I want to give my girls a cookie in their lunch as a treat, that's my choice, not theirs.
2. They don't celebrate holidays/have parties. So we don't get handmade ornaments at Christmas, there are no handprint turkeys at Thanksgiving and the kids can't exchange Valentines at school.
If this wasn't our daughters last year before Kindergarten we'd be looking for a new placement for her. Very disappointed.
The director, Cathy F., doesn’t respond to email. Teachers call children “Dude!” Feels unprofessional. We’ve received inconsistent care from classroom to classroom. Billing is frequently inaccurate and you have to read every invoice carefully so you’re not overcharged. We have found a new provider for the fall.
