The building is bright, shiny and new. They have great computers and a beautiful facility. Some of the teachers are great. Those are the positives. They're still very new and will hopefully improve. The original director left, followed by several of the good/original teachers. A lot of kinks to work out here and not on par with the awesome reputation of other Academy centers. We've had friends at those centers and believe 110% they are worthy of the hype. This location however offers poor communication, has obvious and verbally stated low morale, very little control, very little structure, and very little wamth/welcoming when you walk in the front doors since losing the original director. Too many kids in the classrooms so even the good teachers are incapable of really dealing with much redirection, etc, much less stay on a structured, educational routine. Today my child was able to open a playground gate and leave the premise. Last straw for me, especially after receiving the unapologetic call but letting us know "this was a big problem and my child needed to be picked up immediately"... ?!... We've moved on to an older, more tenured, and more experienced (professionally and/or in motherhood) staff as well as a more educational setting. If you're in Brentwood/Maryland Farms etc...go for it! If you're in 37221, I definitely wouldn't recommend this center....at least at the present time. My child is no doubt a willful and smart one, but even with that said I haven't spoken to a parent that's enthusiastic about their experience here so far. Given the great success of the other centers, I hope this one eventually follows suit... Some of the teachers are the sweetest on the planet...but they can only be expected to do so much.

Excellent school and great location - easy drop-off and pick-up and the teachers actually teach! Highly recommend as a strong prep for kindergarten.
