I have used this provider for more than 6 months
Our child has been in attendance at the Caterpillar Clubhouse in Fairfield for over a year. They started in the 2yo room and moved to the 3yo room. We found the teachers to be very kind and loving towards our child. Our child is actually learning, some sign language, the alphabet, nursery rhymes and is doing a lot of activities throughout the day. The only negative experience was caused by another child that was physically hurting our child regularly. This child required one on one care and the center was unable to provide an additional teacher all the time.
I am concerned with information received from families that have their one year old toddlers enrolled at this center. The information being shared is that if a one year has loose stools or a little nasal drip they have to be removed from care. And many families are being told that their one year olds are considered “bullies” by the teachers and not allowed to participate with free group play. Very alarming that they are using the phrase “bullies” and “aggressive behavior “ to talk to parents about their one year olds. Hmmm
