My daughter went to this preschool last year and the beginning of this year. Last year the school was good, but it has deteriorated drastically this year. At the end of last school year, a teacher left the school, leaving Sunshine to scramble to hire a new teacher. My daughter got the new teacher and she created her own curriculum that is not in line with what you'll find on the website. This teacher has decided to emphasize whatever she deems important, regardless of what you'll find on the school's website. We recently found out that this teacher also teaches a M-T class in addition to my daughter's T-W-Th class, meaning the teacher has 2 classes on Tues. The school never told the parents this; we all had to find this out via word of mouth. My wife emailed the teacher about this, and she admitted that she only sees the T-W-Th kids at breaks and lunches on Tues. To not inform the parents of this was incredibly dishonest. Last year my daughter would come home with an art project, picture, worksheet, or something every day in her class folder. This year, many days she comes home with an empty folder, leading me to wonder what's going on at the school (and if you ask the director, she'll tell you a wonderful story of all the great things they do, but when you ask about the discrepancy in what the kids physically bring home or tell her that your child said they didn't do this or that at school, she'll tell you that you can't trust what your child tells you!!!!). Additionally, class pictures were just sent out, and they selected one where my daughter's head is turned. I asked the director why they chose an obviously unacceptable picture, and her response was that I should be happy I got a free picture; she didn't care at all that my daughter wouldn't have an acceptable class picture for her memory book. I asked them to retake the class picture; instead, they cut out another pic of my daughter and pasted it on the existing picture and just put it in my daughter's tote bag. The director will tell you straight to your face that she loves your child and cares deeply about her development; sorry - actions speak louder than words, and the school's demonstrated behavior over the first couple months of the school year show indifference at best and a complete lack of care at worst. Parents, be very cautious before sending your kids to this preschool - we've uncovered this school being incredibly deceitful. It's very disturbing and concerning!
