2022 review- I pulled my child from this daycare. As a first time parent I was very disappointed in how things were. My child was traumatized the first 2wks and I’d say didn’t start getting used to this place until we pulled her. Having a child during Covid who hadn’t been around other people let alone family, she didn’t want to go to sleep and if she did it was with one of the care takers who actually showed my baby love at that time. Children at least know the difference between being loved or handled with love than those who were only there for a paycheck. Chelsea the Director always had a stink look on her face anytime I’d walk in to get my child. Which I already knew why. The energy in that place was just not the vibe. There were 2 teachers in the toddler class I loved Kam & Shariyah. They knew how to handle toddlers. Nicole the Assistant Director was sweet too but that was about it. Not to say everyone will have the same experience I did, but again as 1st time parent with certain expectations, they just did not meet it for me. Also she would come home with too many diaper rashes. Needless to say the school we pulled her out to go to has been great from day 1. My child was sleeping with no issues which said a lot to me. If your toddler cannot talk to tell you how they feel or what’s happening, please go off their actions. They’re really trying to tell us some things.
This School has gone down the drain. We had our daughter start this school beginning of this year. When she first started it was under the old management who actually cared about the families and made an effort to keep parents involved as much as possible. However, sadly, new management came on and it has been absolutely AWFUL! My daughter is a 3-yr old with no experience going to a daycare, and this new management cares nothing about the children, only about the revenue they will generate by pushing younger kids to older classes to make space for the new kids that they are trying to bring in. These are just of the incidents that have taken place since my daughter started:
- I have listed on my registration form that at no point in time is she to be given ham or pork and there have been multiple instances where they gave that meat to her.
- My daughter came home one day complaining a teacher smacked her hand. I took the complaint to the director at the time and they told me they were doing an investigation with corporate to find out what happened. It turned out they didn't find anything on the cameras so the teacher ended up staying at the school. My daughter did get moved to a different class to avoid having that teacher.
- The same teacher we had an issue with somehow temporarily came to help out with my daughters class one day. At the end of the day when it was time to pick her up, My daughter was in a different class. I asked the teacher of her class, the one that has a problem with my kid why she was in a different class and the teacher replied, "Because your husband gave me a funny look when he dropped her off this morning" She told me that she asked one of the assistant directors if my daughter could be in a different class and the assistant director said yeah. HOW IS THAT OKAY?! I let the school director know that I was upset because my daughter shouldn't have to deal with a teacher feeling uncomfortable by my husband giving her a funny look! The School director told me she was going to get with the assistant director and figure out what happened. This was last week. I brought it up twice more after that incident and I still have not received an update or understanding why that happened.
- They have an APP that the teachers are supposed to update to let the parents know what their kids are doing throughout the day, the food they eat and what time the naps are. We barely ever get the updates. I have let the directors know that this was an issue and just like always, they said they will resolve it and nothing has happened.
The Management does not care about the families or the kids. You go to the directors with an issue, don't think you are going to receive a phone call with a follow up on how they will resolve that issue. IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN! My daughter has had the worst anxiety, behavior and moods since starting this school because they are SO disorganized, have insane amount of turnover from the teachers and has no stability or structure. They are constantly changing teachers for the classes and has close to 30 kids in one classroom because they don't have enough teachers. They get no loyalty from teachers because they don't treat them well. The teachers BARK at the kids and basically bully them into listening.
This school is NOT worth the money. I would not recommend this school to anybody because the negative impacts it can leave on your kids is just not worth it. I am changing my daughter to a new school next week because we can no longer deal with the unprofessional-ism, instability and confusion anymore.
I am a former teacher at this location. This school is terrible. First of all, the OWNER disappeared for months. Teachers did not get raises. We never had the supplies we needed. The school was left in Regina Dunn's hands and she is awful. She has no respect for any of the teachers. If she was your friend you could get away with anything. There was a serious issue with one of the LEAD TODDLER TEACHERS abusing children and all the happened was she was suspended for 3 days. Not all staff id certified or CPR certified. My understanding is they are now making everyone get their CDA out of their own pocket. No help at all! Brittney Brown is the assistant director and has absolutely NO CLUE what she is doing. She lies to parents to get them in the door. The children are underfed. They are served food that has been sitting in the fridge for over a week. Any fruit they get is already brown. If you take your child to this school, GOODLUCK!
My review of this school comes from factual events and circumstances. Some of the teachers are NOT CPR certified nor certified through the CCEI (Childcare Education Institute) which is required by the state. Some of the teachers have not had background checks. There has been abuse issues swept under the rug. The turnover is very high. The owner/director will lie to parents to get enrollment or to keep parents happy. The teachers are under-paid and treated very poorly. The computer lab does not have security measures or protection from pornography. Some days, the children to not have milk and are underfed to try and save on food costs. Teachers yell loudly at students and yank them by the arm. Be very cautious before enrolling at this school.
