Tammy truly loves the children in her care. She has a lot of activities to keep them entertained and happy, and she has a consistent structure to their day. Tammy gives her attention to the kids, and she isn't distracted by technology, like most these days (she doesn't have a smartphone). She goes above and beyond with holiday celebrations and trips to the splash pad. I visited several daycare places before meeting Tammy, and it was obvious to me that Tammy's love for the children in her care set her apart from the rest. I'm not sure the reason for the negative reviews. She can be a bit scattered sometimes when things are just verbal, but she keeps great records and we've never had a problem in the year and a half our kids have been going there, as long as we give her our schedule in writing. As for the review about prices, even when you have a child go part time, you are taking up a daycare providers full time slot. Tammy is nicer than most in providing a little flexibility, but you have to pay a minimum amount each week to keep that spot held for your child. It is their livelihood. This year, we are juggling a very inconvenient transportation schedule because we don't want to move our kids to a different provider. That says a lot. Signed, A satisfied school teacher
Tammy lives right by my house, I loved the idea of her being so close to my home I decided to have her watch my child. I get help through the state and told Tammy that she said i could not start until she gets the payment from the state, which is fine... so i have been waiting two weeks for my child to start calling her almost 3 times a week to see if we were getting anywhere. she finally told me she got my payment and that I could come fill out paperwork for my child to start and to call her at 4:00 before i come over. My day was pretty busy and i didn't get around to calling her until 5:30 but i left a message thinking she would call me back. 1:00 p.m the next day comes around and i still have not heard anything so i decided to give her a call. she then informs me that she has NOT gotten payment from the state and that i need to call and find out what was going on, so i did exactly that. I talked to eligibility who informed me she actually got paid for April and May on the 28th of April. well since it has already been so long and my child hasn't started they said they were going to withdraw the payment. super frustrated i called Tammy to tell her they did pay her on the 28th and she didn't believe me telling me they will just say that but it hasn't gone into her account but she will check, later on that night she ended up checking and saw it was in there after all. i wasted a whole day doing run around stuff that she should have known in the first place. she asked me every time i talked to her what my name was again and how many kids i have and what my schedule is. (at least 5) for each question... she just seems like to not have any clue of whats going on so i decided i would rather not have my precious child at her facility!
Tammy quoted me a price verbally in person and on the phone on two separate dates. When it came time to actually do the paper work the price went UP by $200 a month. AND two days a week are just part time hours. Tammy was completely unwilling to be flexible in the amount she was charging even though she had quoted me TWICE previously an amount I could actually afford! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS DAYCARE!!! She is obviously unreliable.
