The Early Learning Center is a phenomenal preschool program that follows the Reggio Emilia approach to learning. I had never heard of it prior to discovering this preschool and I can honestly say that it has been such a positive, eye opening experience for me. In this loving and nurturing environment, my son is not only learning the traditional lessons such as the alphabet and creative expressions in a fresh way, but he is being taught scientific concepts and mindfulness and independent thinking skills. It has amazed me how much of those lessons he retains and comprehends. The room in and of itself is an endless playground for his mind, filled with a stem area, science, visual arts, dramatic play area and more. I can't say enough good things about this preschool. I knew the minute I walked in the door to check it out that I wanted my son to attend there and I haven't had a single doubt ever since. He is so happy there and I feel completely at ease when he is in their care.
This is a lab school so the teachers are professional educators with more then a cursory understanding of child development and having student teachers in the classroom is great because their interactions with the children are enthusiastic and purposefull. The program is well structured yet the children are treated as individuals in a very caring environment. The teachers are always available and open to discussing how things are going and because of there knowledge in child development provide helpful feedback. Overall, this is simply an excellent program.
My daughter has been going here for the past two years and I absolutely love this center. I had taken her to a few other places but never felt completely comfortable. Once I took a tour of the childcare, (which had been about my tenth childcare tour), I was sure that this would be where I would send my child. The ELC is very clean and it has everything a child could want/need to satisfy their playful hearts, from computers, iPads, art supplies, science experiments, playground, dress up, reading, toys, bikes & scooters and a performing arts room where they can play instruments and dance! They do a lot of hands on learning and make everyday fun and exciting. I love it because my child loves it and the care from the teachers and staff is beyond what I could ask for. When I drop her off its like I'm dropping her off with mom, I have no worries and that for me is the best feeling. The nice thing about the childcare being on campus is that there are always security officers on site and the children have use of the gym and the library. I am so thankful for the love and care the ELC has brought to my child. If you are looking for a clean & comfortable home away from home for your child this is the place to be.
