St John Preschool & Child Care Center

Established in 1988, St. John Preschool and Child Care Center serves Hicksville, Ohio and the surrounding area. We are a Christian based Preschool & Child Care Center offering services for children ages 2 ½ -12.

St. John Preschool and Child Care Center has received a One-Star Rating from the Step Up to Quality program. This means that we go a "Step above and beyond" what the State requires for adequate Child Care. Step Up To Quality is a voluntary five–star quality rating system administered by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and the Ohio Department of Education.

Located in St. John Lutheran Church, we provide preschool for ages three through five. Our Early Learner class is on Tuesday and Thursday mornings for ages 3 and 4. Our 4's and 5's meet on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings for Kindergarten preparation.

We offer before and after school care for ages 2 ½ - 12. Our hours are 6:30 AM - 5:30 PM Monday through Friday. We follow the Hicksville Exempted Village School District calendar.

We employee one teacher with Bachelor's Degrees in Early Childhood Education, one teacher assistant, and one child care worker. Each staff member is required to complete at least 10 hours of professional development each school year. Ratio: 1 adult per 6 students.
