About the Provider
Southern Maine Children’s Academy (SMCA) offers a stimulating preschool program that allows children to learn about themselves, their peers and the world around them. Our philosophy is that each child should be recognized as a unique individual, and that their growth should be nurtured through active playing and learning.
Play is a child's primary occupation. Our goal at SMCA is to facilitate the development of play skills that will serve as a foundation for your child’s learning and development throughout their childhood. Our highly trained teachers act as facilitators for play and relationship-building. We provide learning experiences that address all domains of The Maine Early Leaning Guidelines, providing children with a wide range of materials and activities to explore and discover.
Our open door policy and daily communication with families will enrich your child’s overall learning experience. We have created a warm and nurturing place that is welcoming to all children and their families.
