Typical Day 6:30-8:00 Children are dropped off and able to do some free play while others arrive 8:00-8:30 Breakfast is prepared, served and cleaned with the children helping to clean their areas as they finish. 8:30-8:45 Wash hands and bathroom breaks. We will also have a morning meeting and discuss the day's activities. 8:45- 9:30 This time will be best used as a learning time. We will have different lesson plans for the days, but it is my intention to incorporate reading, writing, ABC's, 123's, and other age appropriate activities. I will have different ages and stages so I will do my best to help all stages of development. 9:30- 10:00 Free Play- Children chose and activity of their interest. 10:00-10:15 - Morning Snack 10:30-11:45 - Weather permitting we will have outdoor time where kids can choose from a variety of activates in the play yard. 11:45 - 12:30 Lunch is prepared, served and cleaned with the children helping to clean their areas as they finish. 12:30 - 1:00 Bathroom breaks, teeth brushing, hand washing, and story time. This is served as a wind-down time. 1:00-2:30 Rest time According to state licensing requirements, children are required to have a one-hour quiet time after lunch. To accommodate this requirement, parents must provide their child/children with a sheet, and blanket. Children my also bring a stuffed animal, doll or special pillow for rest time. These items will be stored in the child's labeled container and I will launder them over the weekend or as needed if an accident occurs. For School aged children, I will have a quiet activity planned for them on days with no school. Once they are in kindergarten they are not required to have that rest period. 2:30-3:00 Quiet time. As children awake they will be given a choice of quiet activities, so as not to disturb sleeping children. 3:00-3:15 Afternoon Snack and clean-up
