My child went to the preschool for a couple months about 2 years ago. Looking back, I hate that I had put my work before child’s well being. Do not send your children to this place. They are infested with cockroaches, they hardly ever clean up your children’s faces after meals. But the saddest part was I believe someone at this facility, physically abuse my child. The signs were there, he was only 2 years old didn’t talk much. I brought it up to the director and her response was that the teacher didn’t report any incidents. If she is abusing my child she will not report it. Soon after, everyday I would get a note about bad behavior. They also suggested I got him tested for developmental disabilities. Despite his dr telling me he was fine, I went ahead and got him evaluated. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY SON. He is now in vpk and is doing exceptionally. I just wish I had done more about the abuse then.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

This is the WORST place to send your child. Take my advice and find some where else for them to go. You will thank me later. Mrs. Sheryl and her staff treat the kids like crap, it's all about the money trust me If it has anything to do with finances they will cut your kids off ASAP. MY son also has caught so many different viruses from this place, I don't think there clean at all. The daycare is very judgmental and disorganized. The pastor doesn't even like a pastor, He yells at the kids and is very mean. I had a meeting with him one day and he even yelled at me so I can only imagine what the kids go through.

I am an employee

We provide the highest quality of education in Marion County and the proof is in our VPK scores, School Readiness Scores, being a School of excellence 5 years running and to maintain our excellent level of acreditation we are constantly improving. We do help children with their home work. We don't do their homework for them and it is the child's responsibility to ask the teacher for help. We have 10 laptops with Monitored Internet Access for children to use. We do not have a dirt playground and while some children enjoy playing in the dirt there are specific areas for that play. We have professional playground equipment for the children to play on. All of our children get daily outdoor time weather permitting and if weather does not permit, there is indoor physical activities.

We apologize to any parent that did not feel we met their expectations, but in order to meet them there has to be conversation with the director. That is the only way we know of specific or specialized needs or of concerns a parent has.

Attempting to assist the families of our community, we have historically had the lowest costs in the counter for a large center. Because of that, we are required to have parents fulfill their responibilities on time. We have found that when we have to enforce the handbook, which presents agreed to, that is when they are quick to speak negatively about the center, the director and staff,

i looked up shores assembly of god, because it looked like it was a nice place from.the out side, but now that i have seen the reviews and comments my son will not be going there for vpk.im a stay at home mom.hes 3 / and nneeds to be around kids his age.hes very happy and when I take him to parks he is over joyed to play and share with kids.hed got a big heart, and in one review someone said the kids were barley outside, well i know that to be a fact because I live right behind them, and not once have i heard kids outside playing. at first i I was worried that having a daycare right behind us would be noisy and loud, but thats not the case.im home most of the time.im glad i got to see your comments. im lucky enough to be a stay at home mom, but he really need to be with kids his age, and prepare for school in a couple yrs.if anyone has some suggestions plz let me know.i can look all day long but of course these daycares and vpk programs are gonna make themselves sound great and only positive stuff.so any ideas where he could go would be great.im not worried about driving, doesnt have to be in shores area.i will go the xtra mile, miles lol.to make sure he is getting what he needs out of it.thnx my e mail is jules1@gmail.com

My child attend Shores for almost a year for Vpk and before and after care.  After a few short months I began to notice changes.  The first issue was the constant encouragement that my child had a behavior problem (ADHD). This was reflected with constant negative remarks in my child folder daily. I even took my child to the Dr for a professional medical opinion, as a result the Dr. had no.such findings to diagnose.  Because of this negative envirionment it broke my child confidence in learning. It became so bad my child didnt want to attend this school.

My child attended this daycare for over a year, and at first i was very pleased with the running of the daycare. But slowly things started to change, my child became just a dollar sign to them. When i signed my child up, i was assured that they would get help with their homework, they would get computer time and plenty of activities. But that was not the case instead i found that they dont have computers for the children, the dirt lot in the back yard is rarely used and help with homework is non-existant. Morning staff is the worst, care fir the children is low on their priority list, i would even say they dont really like kids. One of the staff members is rude with parents and yells at the children, you would think with all the complaints she would have lost her job, but no she still remains. Which made me feel as if my child of other children dont matter, they are just a dollar amount. I guess this daycare upsets me more than most because it is a church with the pastor and his wife running it. I have never attended the church service but based on the lack of care and concern for our children, i dont think that is a church i will ever attend. I am not writing this review to be mean to the daycare, because it did have its good points, but the bad is to major to be over looked. For parents that children attent this daycare please talk with your child and judge for yourself if your child should stay. And parents that are thinking about sending your child there, look for another place because if your child is a happy, confident joyfull child, there are "some" staff members that dont care for that.

i can not begin to explain how awful the services and people are here. they treat there customers like crap and charge you a fee for every little thing. from my personal experience of working there i can say i wasnt treated very fair as an equal compared to certain other employees and still even to this day with my child being there things are not getting better, the only thing i can say positive about shores daycare is that it is nice if you child is going to greenway elementary which is right across the street from shores assembly of god. also a few of the teachers are really nice and treat the kids good, however i have had problems with a certain teacher who is very judgemental and seems like she never haves anything positive to say about my child. honestly i would never refer anyone to this daycare unless they had no other choice. for my personal reasons only is why my child still attends that daycare, but believe he will not be there for long.
