I moved from Texas and searched the Ocala/Belleview area for a daycare for my son, but what I got was so much more. I wasn't aware of the major differences back then between preschool and daycare.
My son attended this school for 2 years and showed amazing progress, they worked with him with potty training, taught him his alphabet, counting, colors (in English and Spanish), he has formed bonds with his teachers and they really CARE about your kids. They know who I am every time I walk in the door. They learn what your children like and how they act and really learn who they are. They love them, they really do.
It definitely isn't cheap though, I really struggled to pay for it and when my son came to be 4, I was thinking how I could finally move him into public school and not have, pretty much, a second rent payment every month.
I enrolled him into public school (the "Green School" as my son calls it) and had the worst experience, my son came home for about a month saying people were hitting him at school, throwing sticks and leaves at him and no one wanted to play with him. He wet his pants in school and he started to not listen to his dad and I.
I was writing notes back and forth to the teacher in the new public school and she was saying he was lying about people hitting him and that he was the one hitting. I was devastated, he never had any behavioral problems in Creative Beginnings (the Blue School). I ended up calling Creative Beginnings and re-enrolling him to finish out VPK. As soon as the woman answered the phone and I asked if there were any available spots in VPK left and I told her my son was already there before she immediately knew who it was and said my son's full name. She was more than happy to take him back in.
I made that mistake for the last time. My son will not be attending any public school in Marion County ever again. He was only in the "Green School" for 1 month and it was enough to make me never want him in that environment again. Private school is the way to go, it might hurt your pocket now but in the end, you will feel better knowing your child is being taken care of and that they aren't just a number in a database being pushed through a corrupt system.
Creative Beginnings is clean, they have security cameras pretty much everywhere, and locking doors only opened by fingerprint and pin number. I feel like my son is safe and cared for, no amount of money is too great for that peace of mind.
I Teach at this preschool, and it is a terrific place to work. I searched and interviewed at a lot of pre-schools in marion county, and none compared to this one. The owners are very professional and caring of the staff and students. I feel bad for the students that weren't able to stay here for one reason or another, but it is funny that those are the parents that leave the negative comments. Don't let it sway you, if you truly care about your childs behavior and education send them to this school. Behavior is a big part of what this school helps with. A child needs to be ready to enter kindergarten socially and emotionally. The Teaching they get at this school will help them in their future school with listening, following directions, and making friends. Pre-school is extremely important.
Creative Beginnings is an amazing school my daughter started there 1 month after they opened and almost three years later she is still there and her 4 month old little brother is also now attending. The school is extremely clean and education is top of mind at all times. I can't say enough about this wonderful place. I would recommend this school to anyone and everyone.
Creative Beginnings is a great school. In fact, the best in this area. As a form school educator and administrator I have strict standards for any school my child is enrolled in.
Our son has been enrolled at Creative Beginnings twice. Once as an infant and again as a toddler. The only reason we removed him from the school was due to an extended period of travel for our family.
Prior to re-enrolling we looked into several other schools in the area but there is NO WAY we would have put our son in one of those schools...the competitors are not even in the same league as Creative Beginnings.
Creative Beginnings is super clean (trust me this is not so at many places). Our son loves the activities, receives the attention he needs, and the teachers genuinely care and love him.
My wife and I are extremely happy there and would have to drastically alter our life if Creative Beginnings did not exist..the other schools are simply not an option!
THE WORST PRESCHOOL EVER!! The most discourteous staff, they are mean and dishonest. They claim to provide a good pre-school education but they just let the kids play and watch TV all day and teach nothing!! I had to move my child to an honest (real) preschool. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!
My daughter attended this preschool for almost two years they started off ok but 6 months into being there the trouble started. The facility is owned by a mother daughter team and the daughter has a lot to learn about speaking to parents or anyone for that matter. My daughter was labeled a bad girl and they had no intentions of really working with her or any other child unless they are perfect and what 2-4 year old is? She was also pinched by a teacher and a red mark was left on her left leg but this was brushed off because she lies is what we were told. So I would not even consider sending your child here unless you don't like them.
