Eastern Plains Head Start (EPHS) serves 6 communities throughout Eastern New Mexico. Its administrative offices are located in Tucumcari. EPHS offers Head Start in 6 communities, serving a total of 329 three- and four-year-old children. EPHS offers Early Head Start (EHS) services to a total of 102 children in Clovis, Portales, and Tucumcari. EHS provides services to babies and toddlers from ages six weeks to three years. It also works with expectant mothers. PreK serves 10 children in Santa Rosa. In addition to meeting the needs of children, all 3 programs help the families as well.
