Description: Royal Castle Child Development Center opened in February 1996 under the directorship of Mrs. Pearlie Harris. In its 15 years of operations Royal Castle has provided childcare for almost 2,000 children and has grown from a small day care center to become nationally certified through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the only 5 star rated (out of 5 stars) child care provider in New Orleans through the State of Louisiana Quality Start Child Care Rating System.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.

My child has enjoyed every minute of their time at the center. Royal Castle is always bettering themselves and adding more programs/events for families to get involved in. My child has been at the center since a baby and is getting ready to graduate.
Teachers are kind and well trained. And management is easy to contact.
It's a warming environment, and my child begs to go to school each day. The meals are great, Mr. E the cook does an awesome job. My child loves eating his squash and zucchini bread.
I have never had a problem. I know that my child is safe and taken care of each day. And they are doing an awesome job keeping students safe during this pandemic.
Would highly recommend.
Royal Castle Child Development Center is a private, non-profit child care center that was established in February of 1996. Royal Castle believes that all children have the right to high quality care and education that is individualized to meet their unique strengths, interest, and needs. The vision is that each child has the foundation necessary to meet or exceed their potential. We also believe that children with and without special-needs and developmental delays should play and learn side-by-side. This inclusive approach allows all children to develop friendships, become leaders, and role models, and learn acceptance and diversity. Royal Castle CDC is nationally accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Royal Castle was the first 5-star center in the Greater New Orleans Area, based on the Quality Rating System administered by the Department of Social Services.
Royal Castle Child Development Center utilizes a curriculum that fosters the development of the total child. Currently, we implement Creative Curriculum. Moreover, the director, after attending the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) conference, the center will be adding Frog Street Curriculum: Infant, Toddler, Threes, and Pre-Kindergarten.
**I have enjoyed every minute working at this school. The director is both kind and motivating :)
OK I thought this school was really good considering Michelle Obama is on their website.. well I was wrong after five days of my son attending this nursery he contracted a viral disease. And on top of that it's contagious and on top of that I am now sick...my God I feel like death from this cold my son gave me... I noticed two kids for sure with crusty noses but I thought this place practice sanitary.. i really feel this trifling parents brining their sick child to school is unacceptable and the school wants the money are really irresponsible i really feel like pulling him out. I don't want to imagine if he would have stay the entire week. I personally would not recommended this school to no one
