River Academy Preschool and Learning Center has been built in response to the need in our community for high quality Early Childhood Education for young children. We want to ensure the best possible educational experience for your children while maintaining an environment of stability, safety, care, exploration and fun. We believe these to be essential elements in encouraging developmental growth educationally, cognitively, physically, mentally and emotionally as we address each learner individually and holistically. River Academy will operate Monday through Friday, 6:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. The lobby of the building will be set up with a full-time receptionist and computer program that will only give the parent or primary care giver access to the locked building with the right credentials, ensuring utmost safety for each child.
River Academy Preschool and Learning Center believes that each child is a unique and capable learner. Our educational programs exist to scaffold and build upon each child's growth and development through observation, assessment, documentation and interaction. We believe that the first five years of a child's life are precious and an invaluable time to nurture, promote and encourage social-emotional, cognitive, and character learning and competencies. We accomplish this through creating authentic and dynamic learning environments that promote curiosity, caring relationships and connections through developmentally appropriate individualized instruction. The interactions the child has during this period of life are of utmost importance to us. Because of this, we encourage parent engagement and individualized curriculum based on child and family need. We also train our educators to inquire, interact and introduce new knowledge and learning opportunities in a fun, creative, educationally stimulating way. We believe each day and experience offers a learning opportunity and outcome.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. This place cares more about money then they do children. I liked the way the daycare looked on the tour but within a few weeks I saw how the staff did not take care of the kids. They were always on their phone. Standing up by the counters while all the kids were running wild. My child would be sent home in other kids diapers. And more then a few times I picked my child up and her diaper was so full it was leaking out on to her shorts. The staff was so young and didn't seem to know anything I asked them . How was her day.. oh I don't know I just got in here.. I found bite mores on my child that was not reported and the staff could not tell me how or when she was bit. The staff lost her shoes more then once. She would always be a mess when I picked her up hair in knots boogers all over her face diaper full and the staff never seemed to care. This place is not a good daycare.
I am so disappointed in this daycare. My son has never had his nose wiped here as well as the staff (outside from Brandy) here has no idea of the happenings of the children. I asked when my child had water last (since he seems to be chugging water immediately after getting home) they looked at me and said I don't know. I asked the res headed girl to get him some water and she brought back his sippy cup empty. The same red headed girl looked me in the eye as I asked her how my son had a gash on his nose (which he was still bleeding) and she said didn't he come in with that...um no...the same red headed girl changed his diaper to one that was too small and not even his...when I asked what Happened she just said the one with his name on it didn't cross her mind that they were his...she began to tell me I can't talk to her like that and told me I can't say those things...she seems to cry a lot. This is not the first time my son was sent home in the wrong diapers or with his nose so plugged up and dirty. Nothing seems to be done about this. But the owner called me and told me that I was no longer to bring my son. He gave me a day notice on the weekend...so as a single mom working full-time I am going to have to take time off work to find another daycare due to the way the owner simply left me high and dry due to my concerns that I addressed to an employee that seemed to be treating the children horribly. I will never recommend this place and I will never talk good about here. They never have a waiting list because they never are full due to the lack of care they offer
