On 10/18/2023, a teacher reported that she witnessed her co-teacher smack a child in the face. The accused teacher claimed she did not smack a child in the face but stated that she clapped loudly in his face as she told him "we do not bite". 2023-10-18

On 10/18/23 a teacher reported to management that they witnessed another teacher smack a child in the mouth. They stated this was done in response to the child biting. The teacher was immediately removed from the classroom, witness statements were collected. The teacher was terminated from employment. We immediately self reported the incident to state licensing, DCS, and the child's parents.

Several items labeled "keep out of reach of children" were accessbile to children. In the preschool room, a teacher's purse was being stored in an unlocked cabinet. In the toddler 3 & 4 diaper rash cream (aquaphor and eucerin) were being stored in a low unlocked drawer. In the infant/toddler room, diaper cream was being stored in a low unlocked drawer.
