Description: Head Start and Early Head Start are early childhood programs for low-income families with children ages 0 through 4, including those with special needs. Classrooms have an excellent teacher to child ratio: 1 teacher to 10 children in Head Start, and 1 caregiver to 4 infants/toddlers in Early Head Start. Staff members screen children to determine their overall level of development, and make ongoing assessments to monitor each child’s progress. Each child is provided with experiences that maximize his or her total development.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.
