Description: Our program is based on meeting all the developmental needs of a child as well as letting the child experience the joys of childhood. Our philosophy of child development respects childhood as an important period of life that children are entitled to. As David Elkind has written in THE HURRIED CHILD, “It is children’s right to be children… In the end, a childhood is the most basic human right of children.” We also give children opportunities to explore the environment and materials. We offer group activities as well as opportunities to play alone. Staff always provides a safe environment for children. Staff serves as positive role models, as well as being supportive, nurturing, kind, and respectful toward each and every child and their individual needs.
