Children can choose from dress up, toy cars, dolls, animals and more. 9:30-10:00 Group time. Calendar, songs, rhyming/ alphabet games, and other learning activities. Fun Seasonal lessons: Winter and weather, Spring and gardening, Summer and water/sun safety, Fall and pumpkins... 10:00-10:20 Morning snack (see weekly menu) 10:20-10:30 clear up/ clean up/ wash up. 10:30-10:50 Story time- some days this may be an active story time for children to participate through actions- "Going on a Bear Hunt" for example. 10:50-11:20 (Monday-Wednesday-Friday) Creative Movement outdoors (weather permitting). Time to get out the wiggles through sand box, age appropriate play equipment, nature walks, interactive games for teamwork and self confidence. (On inclement weather days we will do yoga and other physical movement activities for healthy physical growth and eye-hand coordination. 10:50-11:20 (Tuesday-Thursday) Arts and Crafts. Craft or art project using an array of different manipulative's such as play-do, finger paints and wood/hobby crafts- all will aid in building stronger finger grips,eye-hand coordination and creative excitement. 12:00-12:30 Lunch (see weekly menu) 12:30-12:40 clear up/ clean up/wash up 12:40- 2:00 Nap time. Children will lay on mats or in play-pens listening to quiet music while they rest/nap. Older children can look at books quietly during this time. 2:00-3:00 Quiet play- as children start waking up they can watch quiet cartoons, look at books, or quietly play until the rest of the children wake up. 3:00-3:15 PM snack/ meet and greet- if school age children are enrolled then snack will be provided to everyone as they arrive (see weekly menu). 3:15-3:25 clear up/ clean up/ wash up. 3:25-4:30 Homework/ Center free play. Children can choose from dress up, toy cars, dolls, animals and more. School age children will sit at kitchen table and work on any homework assigned for the day/read 30 minutes. They may join the other children in center free play at 3:55. 4:30 parent pick up.
