About the Provider

PAWS is a Before and After School Program that is run between the hours of 7:30am- 8:15am and 3:30pm-5:30pm. It is held in the Chamberlain Elementary School and was put in place to conduct extended learning opportunities for the students in grades K-6 of Chamberlain Elementary. The program director is Lindsay Chilson.

PAWS is a program developed to provide recreational, academic, cultural, and fun activities for the children of our community. Parents will need to come in to the building and sign out their child before the child can leave. The school has now put a new lock system on the front doors. Between the hours of 4:00-5:30 you will need to be buzzed into the building. Please be prepared to state your name and who you are there to get. More information can be found in the Student Handbook below. I greatly encourage you to read through it as it will give you all of the information you will need to know about the program including our discipline policy.

You can register your child at any time. Forms can be found in the office or under the PARENTS Page on this website. Please fill out 1 for each child and please make sure everything is filled out and it has your signature on it before turning it in to me. If your child has already been involved in PAWS in the past, the state requires that they will need to fill out a new enrollment form so we have accurate and up to date information about your child. Please make sure to put a working email address on it as I will send lots of information via email. If any of your information changes, please make sure you let us know so we can update the form. Please note that only the people listed on your form will be able to pick up your kids and they will need to show their id to prove that they are who they say they are. If you plan to have someone different pick up your child please let us know ahead of time. Please be patient when you pick up your child as they are all usually in different rooms every day. Payment for the program is $10 a week. This includes morning and afterschool PAWS whether you come all 5 days or just 1 day. Some people do qualify for free PAWS and in order to find out if you qualify you must talk to Lindsay first. Please do not assume that because you were free last year that you will be free this year. Please remember that all payments go to Jean in the office. You will be able to pick up bills at the end of every month by the PAWS sign out table.

Every month you will need to fill out a monthly calendar to let me know when your child will be attending PAWS. Please look for these calendars 1 week before the 1st of every month. We will give them to you or else they will be found on the Calendars and Schedule Page as well. Also, please keep a look out for notes that get sent home and emails. There is usually something important on these notes.
