Description: Pattycakes Daycare was started in July of 1998 by Myron and Pat Kummerow. Pat was working at a childcare center and really wanted to incorporate her visions and dreams into her own center. Always having a passion for children, this would be her chance to make a difference in the lives of the children of Mayville.
Myron was the builder, handyman and pillar of strength to lean on throughout the years. They expanded as their reputation for one of the best quality daycares continued to grow throughout the community. Each year saw the daycare grow more and more to fulfill the needs of the community.
In April of 2010, Myron was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and passed away in June of 2010. Pat was devastated and decided that she could no longer put her whole heart and soul into it without Myron, but didn’t want all they strove hard to accomplish over the years just go to anyone. Tricia Schwechel, Pat and Myron’s daughter, stepped in to keep their dream and hard work alive and strong. Tricia and her husband Larry now own the daycare as of July 1, 2011.
Larry is now the handyman, builder and strength for Tricia. All the same commitment, values, trustworthiness and love for the children is evident as Tricia keeps the quality daycare tradition going strong. The labor of love will go on for many years to come, with the assurance of a safe, loving, learning environment while your most precious children are here at Pattycakes.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.
